Alex Davidson

Alex Davidson is a professional photographer specialising in sports imagery. His coverage of international and domestic top flight cricket, rugby and football, along with many other sports regularly features in the worldwide, national and regional press as well as online. He covered the 2021 Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games and works for many of the national boards, unions and associations together with a variety of leading commercial sponsors.  Some of his recent work can be viewed here.

He is one of the youngest professional sports photographers in the UK and has developed a loyal following particularly within the cricket world and amongst supporters of Somerset County Cricket Club where he was Club Photographer before moving to London to fulfil his current broad range of assignments.

Alex has been fantastic in his role as photographer for us at Somerset CCC. He continually worked above and beyond his call of duty to provide the club and players with some of the best photos. His commitment to what he does is unparalleled and I think the quality of his work speaks for itself. It is no coincidence that many of his photographs appear on the national back pages!  Aside from this, Alex is also a top guy and a pleasure to be around, and I think that I speak on behalf of the whole team in saying that it was great having Alex at Somerset.”  Tom Abell, Captain of Somerset County Cricket Club
